Sony will and can not beat PS2 sales of the PS3. PS was so different from Nintendo it had it made in the shad, popularity spilled over from PS1 to PS2. 10 years Sony had to build an hype driven super base its a wonder any console can compete. If PS3 doesn't deliver everything Sony says it will, its finished as it would lose a huge part of its current gen fan base, if they don't sell 103 million PS3's at $600-$400 in ten years they lose. If MS sells over 24 million in 7-8 years they win.
